(Karunesh’s POV)
I was a topper in my class, yet teachers disliked me—because I always spoke what I felt, straight to people’s faces.
I had very few friends and only a handful of relatives I truly loved. Losing them was always my biggest fear. Many people tried to get close to me, not for friendship, but because they saw me as an ATM. Still, I thank God for sending those crooks into my life.
Because of them, I learned to recognize toxic people—to smell fake friendships from a distance and walk away from those garbage bags without guilt.
I have a sweet cousin, Riddhi Singh, and a friend who always gets into trouble but remains loyal—Akhil Singhania. For them, I’m genuinely grateful.
My life changed the day I met that little, soft, white creature. I saved him once… yet it always feels like he’s still paying me back for that kindness.
I met him while returning home, cursing a teacher who had scolded me without reason. Suddenly, I heard a noise and turned back. My eyes caught a white blur—jumping, running, terrified.
A creepy man was chasing him.
I shouted. He ignored me, as if I didn’t exist. So I chased him.
I found him selling that innocent creature to a pet shop owner. At that moment, I felt helpless. I went home—but memories followed me, breaking my heart again and again.
The next day, while returning home with my friend, I made a decision. I went alone. I bought that rabbit for ₹2600.
Even now, I believe I was looted.
But some things are worth more than money.
At home, the rabbit and I pleaded with my mother—and somehow, we got permission. After dinner, I took him to my room and video-called Riddhi. We talked, laughed… until Jugnu suddenly jumped and ran out of my room. After the call ended, I brought him back.
The next morning, a loud noise woke me up. I rushed downstairs to open the door and found Akhil—terrified. Before I could ask anything, he ran inside my house.
As I was closing the door, I saw something that froze me.
Jugnu and Rioo. Together.
I ran, brought them back inside—and moments later, Riddhi arrived at my house, searching for Rioo.
That was the moment I realized—
this was no ordinary beginning.
